Major Charles Whisker Award for
Pacific Region’s Outstanding Volunteer 2025
The Army Cadet League of Canada (ACLC), British Columbia (BC) Branch, will honour a volunteer in good standing who has performed exemplary service to the League at the provincial level through the Major Charles Whisker Award for Outstanding Volunteer.
Nominations will be accepted from December 01, 2025, to January 31, 2026. The BC Branch would appreciate your help in nominating your special volunteer to help us celebrate excellence in your community.
The support committee, army cadet league members, the Corps commanding Officer, or other DND staff members of the Cadet Corps can nominate individuals who meet the eligibility criteria outlined below.
- The award is open to anyone involved in and volunteering with the Army Cadet Program.
- Nominees must have volunteered with the Army Cadet Program for at least 5 years.
- Support committee members, Regular/Reserve Force volunteers, and Corps Volunteers are eligible for the award.
- Volunteers must exhibit personal qualities that serve as role models for other members and cadets.
- A volunteer may receive this award more than once.

The nomination letter should showcase qualities that inspire pride, such as initiative, teamwork, responsibility, role modeling, leadership, youth development, planning, communication, energy, flexibility, reliability, commitment, and selflessness.
