ACLC BC Branch Charles Whisker Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service
The Army Cadet League of Canada(ACLC), British Columbia(BC) Branch, is deeply honoured to present Ms. Lynnette Deaton from the 2316 RCACC Support Committee with the prestigious Major Charles Whisker Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service.
This award was established in memory of Major Charles Whisker, CD, who was actively involved in the volunteer community. He was a member of the 257 Royal Canadian Legion, Lodge 110 of the Masons, the Canadian Frontiersmen, and St. John’s Ambulance. Major Whisker strongly committed to the Army Cadet Program, proudly serving as the Commanding Officer of the 2422 RCACC and later as the Area Cadet Liaison Officer for Vancouver Island, achieving the rank of Major over 17 years of service. This award recognizes Major Whisker’s dedication to volunteerism. He passed away in 2006.
The ACLC BC Branch proudly congratulates Ms. Lynnette Deaton on her unwavering dedication to the Army Cadet Program. Lynnette’s exceptional service has inspired us all and earned her the ACLC BC Branch nomination for the ACLC Volunteer of the Year award.
