ACLC BC Branch Major Sam Meckbach Para Award
for the Outstanding Army Cadet in the Pacific Region
This award was created in memory of Major Sam Meckbach to recognize an outstanding Army Cadet in the Pacific Region who has graduated from the Canadian Armed Forces Basic Parachute Course. Sam Meckbach volunteered with the ACLC BC Branch for many years before passing in 2012. Sam had a long, distinguished military career with the Cadet program, the CAF, and the CIC.
The award recipient must have completed the Pre-Para and Basic Parachute courses at the Canadian Armed Forces Parachute School. The criteria for the award, which include dress and deportment, demonstration of leadership qualities, exceptional physical fitness and endurance, and spirit of teamwork, reflect the high standards of the Army Cadet Program.
The ACLC BC Branch, Honors and Award Committee, is delighted to announce that Cadet Master Warrant Officer Jordan Baldwin from the 1867 RCACC in Vancouver, BC, has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 Major Sam Meckbach Para Award for the Outstanding Army Cadet in the Pacific Region.
The ACLC Branch would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to MWO Baldwin for his unwavering dedication and service to the Army Cadet Program. We are truly grateful for his contributions.
