Presentation to Col Ret’d Leslie Deane, CD
On June 25th, at the New Westminster Armouries Officers mess, the Army Cadet League of Canada, British Columbia Branch hosted a presentation to Col Ret’d Leslie Deane. Colonel Deane devoted countless hours of volunteer service in numerous charitable & non profit organizations including the ACLC BC Branch. In addition to our Branch, Col Deane volunteered with the BC Corps of Commissionaires, The Last Post Fund, The Royal Westminster Regiment Historical Society, The Honorary Colonels Council of Canada, and the St. John Ambulance Cadet Program. Col Deane served on the Executive Board of the BC Branch for over 20 years, including a term as President. Col Deane has dedicated his retirement years from the CAF to leadership, citizenship and community service to Canada’s youth. The BC Branch is so proud of Col Deane’s contribution to the Cadet Program. The BC Branch wanted to recognize the many years of dedication to the BC Branch, and named Col Deane our “President Emeritus”-Honorary President of the British Columbia Branch.
The BC Branch also presented former Branch Director’s Roger and Louise Prouse-their lifetime membership to the British Columbia Branch. Roger and Louise have dedicated over 47 years to the Cadet Program in BC. We wanted to honour their exemplary service to the League and the Cadet Program.
The BC Branch thanks Col Deane, Roger Prouse and Louise Prouse for their years of dedication to the League, the Cadet Program and Canada’s youth.
