PRESIDENT’S AWARD OUTSTANDING ARMY CADET PACIFIC REGION
This award was created in 2007 by the Army Cadet League of Canada to recognize an outstanding Army Cadet in each provincial and territorial Branch, thus ensuring a cohesive approach to the Walsh Memorial Sword-The Outstanding Canadian Army Cadet. The Branch President’s Trophy was initiated by Col Gene Lake a former president of the ACLC BC Branch from 2000-2010. The Army Cadet League of Canada, British Columbia Branch will recognize annually, one deserving Army Cadet in the Pacific Region that has demonstrated leadership, initiative, mentorship, and dedication to the support of the Army Cadet Program in his/her community.
After carefully reviewing the nominations received, the ACLC BC Branch Honours and Award Committee is pleased to announce Cadet Sgt Elina Fu from the 2381 RCACC in Richmond, BC is the recipient of the 2022 President’s Award-Outstanding Army Cadet in the Pacific Region.
Sgt Elina Fu enrolled with the 2381 RCACC in 2019. She is an active member of the Corps, and a primary instructor & administrator of the 2381’s New Cadet Experience-four week orientation program for new cadets. In addition to maintaining straight A’s in her school academic marks, she volunteers her time with the Killarney Community Center, Jet Pet Resort and is a member of the Killarney Youth Council. Sgt Fu has accumulated over 100 hours of community service outside her Cadet time. Sgt Fu is an ambassador not only for her Corps but for the Army Cadet Program.
The ALCC Branch would like to congratulate Sgt Fu for her dedication to the Army Cadet Program.
