ACLC 50th Anniversary
February 2021 marks the official launch of the 50th anniversary celebrations for the Army Cadet League of Canada. The focus for 2021 is our volunteers! Throughout 2021, the ACLC & the BC Branch wants to give thanks and recognize volunteers for their efforts and accomplishments over the past 50 years!

The ACLC commissioned 550 coins for volunteers across Canada, and is for recognition for the exceptional service of our volunteers. Each Support Committee within their provincial Branch will be able to recognize one volunteer. A volunteer may be recognized for;
- Long and distinguished service to the ACLC
- Exceptional service to a project that brings benefit or recognition to the ACLC
- Exceptional service in support of the ACLC Mission, objectives and responsibilities
- Exceptional service to the ACLC in overcoming obstacles and challenges
To be eligible for the coin a recipient must be;
- Past or present member of the Corps Support Committee
- Member in good standing of the ACLC
- An individual who provides exceptional voluntary assistance to the ACLC, its affiliated Branches or Support Committee
- Members of the COATS, CIC, CI, and RCSU are ineligible as we are striving to recognize our amazing volunteers!
Nomination Process: To be eligible for a coin, anyone known to the ACLC can nominate their volunteer by submitting a 100 word citation describing the reasoning for nomination. The ALCC BC Branch will accept nominations from 01 Feb 2021-to 31 July 2021. Nominations can be sent to the Executive Director.
Presentation: Presentations shall be made during an appropriate local ceremony, in coordination with the Branch if possible. The presentation shall be made by a ACLC BC Branch member if available. Photos of the presentation should be forwarded to the Executive Director no later than 30 days after the event. The photos and a copy of the nomination citation will be forwarded to National for social media release.
